Dinner for the New Year with Miles Young, Saturday 21 January 2023

Miles will introduce us to his illustrious predecessor and famous Oxford eccentric, the Reverend W.A. Spooner, Warden of New College from 1903 to 1924, who gave his name to Spoonerisms - French contrepèteries 'transposing parts of words with comic effect'. Miles will use Spooner as a lens to observe the collegiate University today.
