New College alum and Honorary Fellow, Tony Hope, publishes new book

Tony Hope, an alum and Honorary Fellow of of New College, has co-authored a new book with his wife, Sally Hope, which examines Agatha Christie's skills as a whodunnit writer. Agatha Christie: Plots, Clues and Misdirections analyses Christie's puzzles and plot devices to figure out how her writing continues to inspire new generations of readers. In the book, Sally and Tony, both medical professionals and Christie fans, provide us with thirty-three ways Agatha Christe deceives us.

Agatha Christie: Plots, Clues and Misdirections was published on 28 September 2023 by The Book Guild Ltd. Tony Hope read PPP (Philosophy and Physiology) as an undergraduate student between 1970-1973.
