First Gradel Quad gargoyle placed

The first of the 25 new gargoyles that will be arranged around the Gradel Quadrangles was put in place today. 

Fergus Wessel, the stone mason responsible for the gargoyles, was on hand along with the Warden and Home Bursar to see the gargoyle (depicting a polar bear) lowered into place. 

Each of the 25 gargoyles is of a different animal and they will be installed in the coming weeks.
