Talk from Dummett Fellow Femi Fadugba

Dummett Fellow Femi Fadugba came in to College on Tuesday for a talk and Q&A with students. Our student ambassador, Sophie, went along.

'Femi gave a brief overview of his life and his career so far and then opened the conversation up to allow questions from students to guide the direction of the discussion. We had a really involved conversation about everything from quantum physics, faith, sustainable energy projects in Africa, getting an agent and publishing your first book, to how marriage and visas can influence your career.

Femi also talked about his role as a Dummett fellow at New College, his plans to visit here at least once a term and collaborate with students on his latest project - marrying maths, physics and video games into an immersive VR experience, aiming to encourage secondary school students from underrepresented areas to take more of an interest in these subjects.'
