Welcoming our Step Up schools to New College

As the new term begins, our Step Up programme enters its next phase, with students from our partner schools coming to New College.

As well as talking to our outreach team, they have tours and Q&A sessions with current students, and an academic session with one of our tutors.

So far, we have already welcomed City of Norwich School (Norfolk), Bilborough College (Nottinghamshire), The King's School (Devon), and Thomas Hardye School (Dorset).

Among the Step Up Ambassadors greeting City of Norwich School was Joanna, who is a former CNS pupil who is now studying here at New College. They were treated to a fascinating session on the world of particle physics by Professor Joseph Conlon.

Bilborough College had an academic session with Music tutor Robert Quinney, who was himself born in Bilborough.

The King's School met Professor Victor Flynn for a session on invisible numbers, and Thomas Hardye School's academic talk was from Biochemistry tutor Professor Stephan Uphoff, looking at antibiotic resistance.
