Old Member taking on the London Marathon for MS Must Stop

Wishing the best of luck to Old Member Sara Weller CBE (Chemistry, 1979), who will be taking on the London Marathon in her wheelchair on Sunday 23rd April. 

Sara was diagnosed with progressive multiple sclerosis (MS) in 2009 and when she began using a wheelchair in 2022, she decided to set herself a challenge - to complete the London Marathon in her wheelchair, raising money for MS research and awareness through MS Must Stop. 

Amazingly, she has already become the MS Society's largest individual fundraiser, having raised over £150,000! 

Congratulations to Sara on what is already a phenomenal achievement and good luck for Sunday!
