New Hymn Book

The brand new New College Hymn Book arrived at College in January. Congratulations to the editors, Robert Quinney and Stephen Anderson, on this milestone - the creation of the book took them over two years! 

The New College Hymn Book will replace the two books previously in use in the Chapel. The bespoke hymnal was generously funded by the Warden Smith benefaction. It presents - alongside old favourites - many tunes not previously published in the UK, including several by musicians associated with the College, some of which were composed especially for the collection.

Every effort has been made to uphold the highest scholarly standards in relation to both text and music. The book will be officially launched later this term, but in the meantime has begun what we expect to be many years of service in college and in New College School’s daily assemblies.
