New College team climb Yr Wyddfa, raising £5000 for Alzheimer's Society
Last weekend, a group of 11 New College staff left Oxford bound for Snowdonia National Park to take on the challenge of climbing Yr Wyddfa.
The energy was high when the team arrived at base camp at 7:30am on a beautiful morning. Clear skies offered magnificent views across the park as they ascended the Miners Track. After nearly 3 hours, the team reached the peak, greeted by unbroken views of mist, fog and a queue lining up to touch the summit's stone marker!
The descent brought rain, but did not dampen the mood as the team returned to base camp for a well-deserved hot chocolate.
The New College team would like to thank all for their support and donations that helped raise over £5000 for the Alzheimer's Society.
