New College hosts the opening reception and dinner for Fang Lijun's first exhibition in the UK

New College provided the launch of the Ashmolean Museum’s new exhibition of works by the iconic Chinese artist, Fang Lijun. Portraits and Porcelain is his first public solo exhibition in the UK.

The opening reception and dinner, generously sponsored by LuZhou Laojiao, Guojiao1573 and Clouds Intelligence, took place in the Founder’s Library and Hall, and was attended by Dame Caroline Elizabeth Wilson, the British Ambassador to China.

Amongst objects exhibited in the Ashmolean is a portrait by Fang Lijun of the Warden, Miles Young.

Fang Lijun: Portraits and Porcelain is free for all visitors and runs between 15 October until 14 April on the ground floor of the Ashmolean Museum.
