Mark Curtis, Development Director, explains how students can stay in touch with New College after graduation

Mark Curtis runs the Development Office in College, whose role is to keep in touch with former students of the College as well as to seek additional resources whether for student support, scholarships, new buildings and academic posts and initiatives. He has worked in similar roles at educational institutions over the past twenty eight years, the last thirteen at New College.

As Mark says:

"New College life doesn’t end when your student days do. You just become an Old Member rather than a Current Member.”

His top tips for graduating students are:

  1. Make sure that the College has your personal email address so we can keep you informed of events and activities.
  2. Join one of the New College Society Professional Networks so you can meet others in similar careers.
  3. Look out for events in Oxford, London and internationally, whether drinks parties, Gaudes (reunions), networking events or more formal dinners.
  4. And don’t forget to come back and visit; Old Members and guests are always welcome and are able to dine on High Table up to once a term, space allowing.
