St Giles OX1 3NA (next to the Ashmolean), Thursday 25 May 2017

All are welcome to attend these film screenings and discussion, to be held on Thursday of Fifth Week (25 May 2017). The director, Yuly Fait, one of the most talented neo-realists of the 1960s, and a friend and contemporary of Andrei Tarkovsky, will be visiting Oxford from 22-26 May and staying in New College. A Boy and a Girl, his most famous film, was banned in 1966 and remained shelved for almost 25 years. It has never been shown in the UK before. The programme also comprises two early shorts and a discussion with the director.
